President John Dramani Mahama, says even though Ghana has made significant progress as far as the Millennium Development Goals MDGs, are concerned, it remains focus and not complacent since challenges of regional and socio-economic disparities still exist.
President Mahama was addressing a UNDP and World Bank dialogue session on MDGs on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Heads of States from Tanzania, Bangladesh, Costa Rica and the Kingdom of Tonga also shared their countries successes and challenges on achieving the MDGs by 2015.
Ghana has reduced extreme poverty by half ahead the 2015 deadline. Development partners at the event lauded Ghana's efforts in tackling the Goals.
