Rescue efforts are feverishly underway to save a gentleman who has been trapped under a collapsed building at Ashongman Estates in the Greater Accra Region.
An eyewitness by name Emmanuel spoke to Peace FM, and disclosed that although they could communicate with the victim, they feared for his life.
Narrating the incident on Peace FM's 6PM News Bulletin, he stated that heavy concrete from the collapsed building were heavily lying on the chest of the victim; making the situation frightening.
He confirmed that it was only personnel from the Ghana Fire Service that had arrived at the scene to avert further damages.
But despite the swift response from the service, the eyewitness claims nothing positive has been achieved.
“The service men are trying to bring him out using a rope, but the concrete keeps tearing anything they try to use. If they had brought an equipment to lift the heavy concrete, it would have been better,” he suggested.
