The body of the deceased, a carpenter has been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue while the injured have been taken to the Adabraka Polyclinic and 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
The building said to belong to the Export Development and Agricultural Investment Fund (EDAIF) was being constructed by the Israeli company, AMANDI.
The disaster was said to have happened around 1pm, a NADMO official, Jonathan Quarcoo from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) confirmed to Graphic Online.
It was the first floor that caved in, the NADMO official said.
