President of the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs is appealing to President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo to forgive all those who wronged him or made offensive comments against his character in the round up to the general elections.
According to, Nana Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese IV, he should let bygone by bygone for a peaceful mind to accelerate Ghana’s development.
“I observed during the run-up to the elections that many unpleasant comments were made against you, I will urge you to forgive all those who offended you,” the chief who endorsed President Mahama’s second term bid said.
Yaw Kagbrese IV who is also the Omanhene of Yeji, endorsed President Mahama for a second term when he paid a courtesy call on him in October.
Some chiefs like the Sunyani Manhene Nana Bosoma Asor Nkawiri before the election declared their support for President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and even predicted 80 percent win for him.
But after Nana Akufo-Addo won the December 7 general election, he is now begging Nana Addo to be forgiven.
Nana Kagbrese IV is urging Nana Akufo-Addo to be a father of the nation and let go of any comments from groups or individuals that may have hurt his personality.
“There is an adage that encourages parents to forgive their children when they offend them. Don’t take anything to heart,” he said.

Digrace at its peak!
those ***barred word*** chiefs are now begging Nana to forgive them......hahahahahaha, has nana accuse them of any wrong doing ? can they now stop d npp or come n predict again...... life today is your turn, tomorrow is someone's turn, ***barred word*** chiefs, d are a disgrace to their communities n BA.
BA our biggest problem is leadership. No wonder Mahama did not built any road, market, in BA. Look at the brand new university in ho to the old forestry school now called a university in Fiapre Shame to nanakabrese and all those who received the Manama 4x4 as rumoured
MOST GHANAIAN CHIEFS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SYCOPHANTS SINCE COLONIAL DAYS.SOME OF THEM EVEN SOLD THEIR PEOPLE TO THE WHITEMAN FOR JUST A BOTTLE OF WHISKY.SOME OF THEM GAVE THEIR FULL SUPPORT TO THE COLONIALISTS IN WHATEVER DECISIONS THEY TOOK.THEY EVEN GIVE THEIR BLESSING TO COUP MAKERS AND DICTATORS.
I haven't heard of any comment from Nana Addo about Chiefs who endorsed NDC. I wish that Ghanaians focus on what we as individuals can do to move the country forward. Some Chiefs are enstooled not because they're knowledgeable but because they are royals.
No wonder chieftaincy is losing its relevance in Ghana today, the very subjects the claim to rule don,t have an iota of respect for them, if i had my way the institution of chieftaincy will be scraped in Ghana,The sunyani chief and his Yeji counterpart must be ashamed of themselves now,the Ghana presidency is not for short people, who in this world knows the height of GOD? Where in the Bible or the Quran did GOD tell us his height?,chieftaincy in Ghana is only there by name, its relevance have been eroded by this stomach direction political chiefs
In the past chieftaincy was synanimous with wisdom, unfortunately chiefs of today are are just too cheap, remember the Sunyani chief tried to stop the N P P from organizing a meeting there, today the tables have turned and the same chiefs are now pastors delivering sermons on the need for forgiveness, when did they know this,as far as i know, NANA ADDO have already forgiven them, however their own conscience will continue to hunt them, can the Sunyani Omanhene or Yejihene look at NANA ADDO in the face eye ball to eye ball?.The least said about Ghanaian chiefs, the better, they are cheaper than rainny season okro, too cheap, tweeeeeeaaaaaa.
I think Nana Addo will forgive those chiefs after all Nana doesn't live in the towns with those chiefs. The big problem is the subjects of the said chiefs. Will those chiefs command any respect from their people? If I was living in any of those towns and belong to the other side of the political divide and don't think I will ever respect my said chief. A word to the wise.
Hmmmmmmmmm, all that be be, be be talk did not come to pass. The chiefs received Mahama's bribes and spoke thraaash, but their people knew what they wanted and voted wisely. The same happened in my own Voter Region ...
INDEED MR. ABDUL KWAKU BAAKO SAID THOSE CHIEFS WHO WERE ON POLITICAL PLATFORMS AND CAMPAIGNING WERE UNWISE!
