The Finance minister of Zimbabwe, Patrick Chinamasa has already told the country’s parliament this month that banks are to be asked to accept livestock as collateral for loans from small scale businesses.

In an interview with the state-owned newspaper Sunday Mail, the education ministry’s permanent secretary Sylvia Utete-Masango said “Parents of the concerned pupils can pay their fees using livestock.”
The Southern African country led by 93 year old President, Robert Mugabe is struggling with an economic crisis which has made it difficult for citizens to have access to cash.

What is happening in this Mugabe country at all? God have mercy
Look at it in this way too....they are trying to encourage barter and agriculture to revive their economy If they can eliminate cash or reduce cash dependency, they could beat inflation. You see, sometimes things are not the way they appear to be.....think outside the box
INDEED THIS IS A FAILED STATE. ACCEPTING LIVESTOCK AS COLLATERAL FOR BANK LOANS, WHO WILL DETERMINE THE PRICE OF THE LIVESTOCK AND ARE THE BANKS GOING TO OPEN KRAALS, EMPLOY PEOPLE TO ATTEND TO ANIMALS AND SELL THEM TO WHO. THIS COUNTRY NEEDS TO BE SAVED.
