The National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah is urging government to take a portion of the 5000 fund to build a house for the wife and children of Major Maxwell Mahama.
Government has set a GHC 5000 fund for the family of Major Mahama. This was announced after a delegation visited the family to pay their respect.
Speaking at the funeral of the late Major, Friday, Bernard Mornah said: “Government should use some of the fund to construct a house for the wife and children”.
Meanwhile, he has urged security services to regain the confidence of Ghanaians since it is the leading cause of mob attack.
“We should try to rebuild confidence because probably the residents of Denkyira- Obuasi had reported several cases to the police to no avail and so they took the law into their own hands; even though it is not justifiable. We should learn from this and change our ways…” he added.

To Bernad Mornah and all those making such s-t-u-p-d statements. "We must give everything in Ghana to them, that's better isn't it?" This was a military officer sent by his commanders to guard illegal foreign galamsayers, he was in bed with criminals. He died a tragic death, no doubt but hold the GAF responsible. Ghana need not spend resources on Capt. Mahama and family. Many military men, police men and ordinary Ghanaians have died on the line of duty before him and we didn't even hear about them. They died defending Ghana unlike Capt Mahama who died defending illegal foreign galamseyers destroying our water bodies, cocao farms and the environmentBernard Mornah must give to Mahama's family his won V8 vehicle ex president maham dashed him. It was a stolen vehicle.
IF OPEPENII MAHAMA CAN BUY A HOUSE FOR KURAASSEENI AKUA DONKOR ,WHY CANT HE PURCHASE A HOUSE FOR HIS NIECE WIFE.
WON'T IT BE BETTER TO BUY THEM AIR FORCE ONE
why Mahama? what about the others who have been lynched? What about the police who was shot by his fellow police on the bus? lets take time
Well, I understand where most of the various suggestions are coming from. it's true people are Lynched most of the time but the police arrive late and nobody is willing to give evidence BUT the late Major's case, there are (1) video(s) (2) Still pictures (3) confessions just to mention a few. As Bishop Boi of Yendi said more education on Lynching and the protection of informant by the police, friends we all need to help stop this menace. I CAN HAPPEN TO ANY OF US, thus if someone labels U (***barred word***; armed robber; ***barred word***, etc. God bless
Now you see these hypocrites bringing all sorts of proposals. Did they tell Mornah that they do not have a house? These stomach politicians apparently don't hear the other lynching cases that happen almost on daily basis. They have suddenly become apostles of lynching, and spewing all kinds of r*bbish. This country has a long way to go, giving the number of hypocrites parading as politicians.
was it 50000 or 5000. nobody shd attempt to remove one zero oooh. coefficient mentality shd not be applied here fire burn you.
I can't really think far now, Is this Major Mahama guy the first victim of mob lynch in the history of Ghana? People get lynched almost everyday and we tend to turn blind eye . Am so shock to see the gravity of noises from all corners Ghanaian are truly hypocrite.. wonni Sika a was3m soa .. am soo disappointed
Comot for there ...hypocrite.if govt decides to do that you be the first to criticize...shüt up !!
