The National Chairman of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah has shot down calls for the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwasi Nyantakyi, to resign.
Ghanaians who stormed the Accra International Conference Centre Wednesday evening to watch the latest investigative piece on Ghana football dubbed: #number12 have called for the immediate resignation of Mr. Nyantakyi.
The FA Boss was caught on the latest investigative masterpiece bragging to some supposed investors about how he could help them to induce officials of the ruling government including The President with money to secure contracts in the country.
President Akufo-Addo has since reported the conduct of Mr. Nyantakyi to the Criminal Investigations Department and has been subsequently charged with defrauding by false pretense.
Many, after watching the premiere of the investigative piece, called on the football kinpin to resign but Mr. Mornah contends that the call for the resignation of Mr. Nyantakyi is misplaced.
The GFA president, according to him has nothing to do with the rot unearthed regarding the game in the country.
“…I think that the GFA presidency has nothing to do with particularly most of the revelations,I don’t think that as GFA President we can say that he [Kwasi Nyantakyi] took monies to compromise the FA. Whatever monies he took, he was going to influence President Nana Akufo-Addo and His government. That’s clear,” he added.
However, he noted that Mr. Nyantakyi can decide to resign based on his own morals.

Be sensible always spewing ***barred word***. The man has resigned out of his own .No pressure on him.And what are u saying
One the use_le_s-s guys in Ghanaian politics. Tweaa.
Ghanaians are crying everyday about fighting corruption but the same people become super judges and lawyers defending the indefensible when an act of corruption occurs. What do we want at all as a people? I think this law, law thing is rather messing up the country. Woyome is still sleeping on his own bed because of law. How many obvious crimes have been left to go all because of law? #CRIMINALCODEMUSTBEREVIEWED
You and kwasi Nyantakyi there no difference. You sold your conscience to collect a pick up for your campaign and you think you have the moral right to comment on this issue.
gone are the days , you wuld have been carrying ........ pan at dawn. now see face.
Are you joking? The guy was orchestrating to have earn a dubious 'finder's fee' for bringing sponsorship to the Ghana football. So what is he paid to do? How much of the Zylofon sponsorship did he take as finder's fee? I'm even surprised at you Bernard. Kwasi Nyantakyi should have resigned the day he was invited by the police. Would you have said the same if your political opponent was the protagonist in this case? SMH! SMHIMH!! Hard!!!
I don't believe Kwasi.N was bragging. Tony Lithur controlled Attorney General's Department, Women and Children Affairs and Aviation, three whole ministerial portfolios, not to mention Cocoa Board etc. I agree that Ken.A has his people in key areas, the lady who just died, Adwoa.S at Procurement (Presidency), Fiif.Bi at Cocoa Board, and the list goes on. Infact just yesterday I mentioned in a discussion that its seemingly appears Ken.A has put his people at really key areas. This, am not surprised if Kwasi.N claims Ministry of Transport was created for him, and its under his control. What I find amusing is A.Plus kept saying Abu and Asenso are corrupt, Kwasi.N says he will share $1M with Abu. Why didn't Kn say he will share with Madam Frema.O? Also, how about we contract for an independent price comparative analysis on the two projects Kwasi.N mention, "....he also stunningly claims that all road contracts in Ghana are inflated, stressing that 'overpasses' of the same standard conducted in New York and Ghana cost $70 million and $150 million respectively" and see if there is some truth in it. Kwasi.N was not bragging, because he didn't need to brag. He was just stating facts in a manner to buttress his point that with money to splurge, you can even build a public toilet at FlagStaff House, and we all know its true, or? The man is a very intelligent lawyer. To draft a 17 page contract in under 2 hours is impressive, and speaks volumes. I am sad he got caught up in this video, and like Brother Louis Farrakhan says, "when a man falls, don't laugh" so I won't laugh, not even for a second.
These are some of the people who are destroying this country, I could he say what he is saying. Mornah is such an idi0t.
Please,Mr Nyantakyi you know what is right don't wait for government to sack you, you, yourself should resign.
You may decide to call Mornah names. But unfortunately for you, the truth is out there. No one should pay saint.
