A group of bonded nurses have in recent developments vented their spleen at the Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Madam Elizabeth Agyeman.
The wrath of the aggrieved nurses was rekindled after the minister allegedly disrespected the angry nurses in public, last Wednesday during a demonstration.
The nurses had marched to the minister’s office to protest over their unemployed status but Madam Agyeman, reportedly described the protest by the agitated nurses, as unnecessary.
The nurses, she noted, should have protested in Accra rather than hitting the streets in Kumasi.
According to the minister, key decisions in the country are taken in Accra―the national capital.
Elizabeth Agyeman further slammed the nurses for hitting the street though she had advised against it.
She said, she had earlier urged the nurses not to protest since their grievances were being considered.
She indicated that the nurses’ decision to protest in the absence of the regional minister, Mr. Simon Osei Mensah was out of place.
Though the petition presented to Madam Agyeman was received, the aggrieved nurses descended heavily on the minister, describing her as uncaring.
“We have been jobless for long but the minister has showed no concern about their plight,” an aggrieved nurse lamented.

Do you think it will be easy ,it is a political strategy been used .More to come
You are jobless, did the NPP government made you jobless? this government has been around just 19 months which is 1 year 7 months and even those who were enrolled in nurses training schools during this government's time are still in school,so how do you become agitated during the period of someone who us trying to help you? why didn't you demonstrate during ndc time but now, that makes you too very insensitive to this government. The minister was right in telling you what you heard because it is annoying to be doing that, when it wasn't the fault of this government but the ndc who went to IMF for credibility with strings attached not to employ you, you were okay with it then, you gave the ndc the chance to make you jobless, and refusing the NABCO program which will give you something. The government should stop listening to nons*nse like tey can't dictate fir the government when it is no fault of theirs but just trying to help fix them which they are impatient! they can vote ndc for more hardship who cares ? they are saying 2020 we go show Nana, how? You Go Show Yourselves, who will be the losers after all? Akufo Addo don't lack nothing to complain about like John mahama 2nd coming ,Akufo Addo is just sacrificing for his country to be worth living in. Look at his age and the sacrifice he is doing to get a future for the youth in the country by travelling long distances to transact deals which will help the nation. Your so called abrantie John Mahama went to office at11.00 am or 11.30am and closed at 4 pm, how many travels did he take to help the nation? it's either he went on medical appointment or merry making in Dubai! who cares if you refuse to vote? You are becoming annoying since you didn't demonstrate during the time of those who made you unemployed. Education is civilization but it's like some Ghanaians are misusing that civilization to make it us*less and much primitive. If the good people of Rwanda had behave this way and with such mentality ,I don't think they would reach where they are now even after war. YOU CALLED FOR WHATEVER THE MINISTER DID TO YOU ! because you are also insensitive. How can you blame somebody who wasn't the cause of your plight, have you taking that also into consideration? but trying to help you to also survive! why don't you accept the NABCO? do you think those ndc among you who are deceiving you can help you why then didn't they do that before? You are becoming annoying and losing support for you.
Hei!!! Nurses, since when did you become jobless. I believe it dates back to the previous regime. We did not see these kind of demonstrations in the past. Are you the only professionals who are jobless. We have graduates who are also professionals, eg. architects, engineers, pharmacists and even Doctors yet they do not have a job. The government has even done well by employing a large number of them already. They should give us a break. Its high time they are treated like students in the tertiary institutions so that once they pass out they look for their own jobs.
