A High Court judge in the Eastern Regional Capital of Koforidua has sent a strong signal to litigants and accused persons not to make any overtures aimed at bribing her.
In a curious notice posted on the notice board of the Koforidua High Court, the judge, Mrs Justice Gifty Dekyem gave the warning on what appears to be directed at a party to a suit, to desist from attempting to bribe her.
Mrs Justice Gifty Dekyem presides over the Koforidua High Court 3.
“I do not accept bribes and gifts. Do not give them out.
“You do not need to ‘see me’ to get justice.
“Do not approach me directly or indirectly in that regard”
“Thank you, Justice Gifty Dekyem (Mrs),” the notice read.

This aloo she dwy lie.
Sekum, not all Judges alone by every institution in the country must display this type of notice at every entrance! We need that and I thought the NPP were going to do that when they said they were going to fight corruption, I was a kid then when during Prof. KA Busia's time every where was posted with DO NOT ACCEPT GIFTS, THEY ARE BRIBES & BRIBES CORRUPT! even on electric poles and Hospitals 'OPD'kids were reciting them with enthusiasm! So why can't we post them now to remind the giver and the taker it's a krime to do that! I Love That Judge, she should keep it up ! We had some very honest judges in Ghana like Justice Rose Owusu former Supreme Court Judge and one of the judges who sat on the Election petition and another was Mrs Justice Annie Jiagge also of the Supreme Court ! I don't know if I spelt her name well very powerful woman ! You dare not!
A good one there!! Protecting her bread and butter as well as her hard won image
I think all Judges should display such in front of their doors/offices; those who are not sure of themselves can be taken to Antoa to take oaths to that effect... anka Ghana b3y3 d3 rough !!!
