Ghana’s Supreme Court has issued an arrest warrant for the CEO of gold dealership Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, for alleged fraud by "false pretense".
Menzgold allegedly promised customers a return of 7.5% monthly on gold they deposited with them - way above the international average, reports Ghana's privately owned My Joy Online.
But customers said they didn't receive the promised money and on Tuesday more than 100 of them protested outside the Menzgold office in the second city, Kumasi.
The protesters, wearing red and burning tyres, were demanding their money back.

De So called Ghanaians leaders r all cultish n selfish, someone wants to help de youth n dis cultish leaders r using banking levels to bring him down, judgement is ahead of us all, God will punish dem severally
Then allow them to enjoy their wealth so that when Menzgold collapses they wouldn't have any opportunity to blame anybody.. But u stepped in to protect them then after shutting the firm down u left them to their faith.. 2.Get ur fact straight.BoG if they had fact on the first day why didn't they shut them down till sec came on board.Stoo blaming customers blame ur regulators who decided to wait all this year's to shut a firm down irrespective of customer money in the system.. 3 . The fact that the police warn u against crime potential crime everyday doesn't mean when u need help they want come to ur rescue. Remember tax payers money is used to pay all this people so give customers some respect..
These so called protesters are hypocrites, when this mensgold thing came they were warned by the government and bank of Ghana prior to to the Dkm saga in the Former president Mahama regime, but Ghanaians were so naive and eye red for quick money so people went to their various banks to withdraw their money for quick money and they are now blaming the government. That's why Mahama said Ghanaians have short memory.
