The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced an end to manual Ghana passport applications effective March 1, 2020.
In a press statement, the Ministry said, “Online Passport Application is now available at all Passport Application Centers (PACs).”
All Ghana passport applicants have therefore been directed to purchase the online passport application form from www.passport.mfa.gov.gh.

Well done Madam Minister and well done the Government. That was what we were waiting for. We congratulate you for good job done. I just applied mine online yesterday and have booked an appointment to go and take my picture. Please forget about those who do not have any idea about digitization and do criticize in anything good thing this government is doing.
Well done Minister, the world is digitising therefore we must follow. Some people think we should move slowly, others think its a bad idea. Left to them, we will be doing the paper work. They wish we go back to the cave man days. Some countries have visited the moon and are exploring the universe and we are still here complaining about application online. The same people complaining will go online to fill forms for American and European Visa, that one is fine but Applying for Ghana Passport online is not fine. Shame on you all.
And while you are at it, the current Accra Passport office lookslike refugee holding camp. dirty, dusty and unkempt. Noteven fit for the huge amount generated from visitors
congratulations , best way to go and long overdue
WHY THE RUSH TO DIGITIZE PASSPORT APPLICATIONS/ IT SHOULD BE DONE IN A GRADUAL MANNER. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE ACCESS TO COMPUTER IN GHANA? THE ILLETERACY RATE IN GHANA IS AROUNF 80% AND YOU JUST WAKE UP WITH THIS? SLOW DOWN NPP ROME WASNT BUILT IN ONE DAY.DONT LET ME REGRET SUPPORTING YOU.
Reduce the £180 you are charging for the passport in the UK. Too expensive. This outrageous fee was introduce by the corrupt airbus bribe taker John Ford Mahama and his NDC who reduced the validity from 10 years to 5 years. Happy NPP government changed it back to 10 years.
The form should be available anywhere there is an internet and the application fee should be added to the processing fee. This will do away with the middle men as I don't need to go to a designated placed before I can apply for a passport. When you submit the form you make the payments. Then you can submit your documents for biometric data.
You and your barwumia should stop your digital ***barred word***. Not all of us are computer literate. Just in one day you want everything to be done digital. I hope we are not going to waste our bundles on the website for days when the website will be defective or under maintenance always. If you want to do digital, do it well. Don't come and tell us later that there was too much traffic, that is why the website is slow. Some of the government websites when you go there you don't get any links or information about anything. For example, you can't get any better information at both MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE websites.
By far the minister in Nana Addo's government who should be sacked without a letter. A failure in her constituency of anyaa sowutuom. Just have a look at sowutuom last stop, no bus stop, no market, no government school. Abysmal roads. Now with this audacious passport application. i have been a dye in the wool NPP sympathiser who supported the digitisation of the application process. I feel conned to the bone by the ineptitude and m1sleading stuff out there. i paid for premium service for my son's renewal in January, he was given a 2 week timeframe to report at 10am for verification and other stuff. He was there with his mum till 5:30pm. After which he was given two weeks to pick up the passport on 28th February 2020. Lo and behold, this was a l1£. He has been there today and guess, issued a receipt to come back in 26 days time. Get a grip.
