Restrictions on Movement
Some parts of the country are under lockdown following the implementation of the Executive Order on the restrictions on movement in Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi, and Kasoa.
Following the passage of the Imposition of Restriction Bill 2020 in March, President Akufo-Addo announced a partial lockdown last week.
The two-week restriction on movement within the Kasoa township, Greater Accra Region and Greater Kumasi and some municipalities in the Ashanti Region, effective 1 am on Monday, 30 March 2020, is part of measures to prevent further spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
Ghana's COVID-19 Case Count
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) as at 3rd April 2020, Ghana has recorded a total of 205 cases of COVID-19 with five (5) deaths. Currently, the number of regions reporting cases are as follows: Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern, Upper West Eastern and Upper East Region. The Greater Accra Region has most cases (183) followed by the Northern Region (10), Ashanti Region (9), Upper West Region (1), Eastern Region (1) and Upper East Region (1).
Lockdown Exemptions
Essential service providers and some other business enterprises are however exempted from the lockdown.
But some are deliberately flouting the lockdown directive and have been seen going about their duties as in normal times.

These are young people who have been mobilized by NDC to flock the country with two aims if they are allowed to stay in Ghana. 1) They will spill over Covid-19 cases throughout the country. 2. They will write their names during the compilation of the new voters register to vote for NDC in December. How did they manage to get to Kumasi area all the way from Togo and Benin? Just put all of them into cargo trucks and send them back to their countries.
AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO SICK AND TIRED EVERYDAY FOREIGNERS WITH NO AIM WANNA COME IN ILLEGALLY PLS SHIP THEM BACK TO THEY COUNTRY AFTER THIS CORONA ISSUE GHANA SHOULD THINK OF LEAVING ECOWAS IS TOOOOOOOOOO MUCH NOW HONESTLY
Ghana please this is not right...total violation of human right and dignity. just imagine if you have a relative outside the country and being treated this way? if they need to be quarantined, it must be done right. Stacking them like this can kill them. They're human beings just like any of us please.
Repatriate them to their respective countries, most of these people will become armed robbers and ***barred word*** at the end of the day, giving our government a headache
So why are all of them fleeing into the country? can't they stay in their countries? this people are very wicked. Confine them in one place and let them die in their wickedness.
I noticed some Officers handling with out sanitary gloves nor face masks, the documents of the detained. This is even more troubling that the illegality committed. Have the armed forces and police force been brief, trained or updated on covid19 protocols? It doesn't look like that is the case.
Where did they pass to get t to Ashanti Region, those at our boarders, please you think you dey do others, you dey do yourself, if the outbreak gets out of control, wait if these same people will allow you to come to their country
But did they pass all the check-points and got to Ashanti Region? I don't get it!
I simply don't get this whole drama. Why are they coming this time when they knew Most countries are fighting the pandemic. Hmm anyway, they passed unapproved routes, please let's return them "unapprovely" without wasting time. I don't simply understand this behaviour. What is wrong with them.
Please return them ooo
