The Venture Capital scandal case will now have to go for a full trial following a rejection of the move to by the accused person to pay GH¢15 million as restitution to the state.
The Accra High Court on Monday turned down the move by Daniel Duku, a former Chief Executive of the Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF) who is standing trial for causing financial loss to the state,
At Monday's hearing [June 22, 2020], the court, presided over by Justice Anthony Oppong, a Justice of the Court of Appeal, with additional responsibility as a High Court judge turned down the offer with the explanation that the court in its discretion was not satisfied with the terms of agreement considering the fact the accused persons were not willing to pay the restitution at a goal but in installments.

For all the money this man has stolen he's only expected to pay GHC15million and go scot free. How was the assessment done. It's sad this country is not worth dying for. I am assuring you that this amount is chicken feed for him and he's going to pay within a twinkle of an eye and go scot free to enjoy the ill gotten wealth.
