Seasoned Journalist, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has rubbished the survey that Ghana is the second peaceful country in Africa.
Ghana has been ranked the second most peaceful country in Africa in the 2021 Global Peace Index report by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP).
The country is also ranked 38th in the world out of 163 countries.
The IEP is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit think tank dedicated to shifting the world’s focus to peace as a positive, achievable, and tangible measure of human well-being and progress.
But Kwesi Pratt has taken the report with a pinch of salt.
According to him, the security situation in Ghana, which he described as being worse, is a clear contradiction with the survey.
"When you look at mobile money operators who have been shot, in fact two have been shot just this morning and you look at the bullion vans attacks and so forth, and someone tells us Ghana is one of the most peaceful countries in the world; what does that mean?", he asked, asserting that "we, the citizens, are all living in fear and panic. The way things are going is very dangerous".
Mr. Pratt stressed that hearing Ghana is second peaceful country in Africa got him annoyed.
"They should stop saying those things . . . Ghana is second peaceful country in Africa and so what?"

It is becoming just one too many of Kwesi Pratt of his pessimism. We have seen too much negativity coming from him, all in the name of a senior Journalist. I would suggest and rightly question why media houses still deem it appropriate to invite Kwesi Pratt to debate on issues of national interest. Kwesi Pratt, the cynic who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. I don't see in him a useful journalist that the youth can look up to. The media should stop giving him that platform because I'm always right in predicting what Kwesi is going to say about an issue. Thus, always cynical, except glorifying the old Nkrumah CPP days. And I bet if Nkrumah had the chance to lead Ghana again, he would definitely qualify those glories.
Go and stay in USA. I think you will have peace there. Why are you always negative minded and you guys call him seasoned journalist? What is he seasoned with? Maggi or what?
Kwesi pratt, Mr. no credibility, why don’t you leave Ghana to another place? Probably under the ocean. Every good news about Ghana biaa, is bad news for you why. Yabre wo. Your hate for President Nana Addo and Ghana is too much. Just leave us alone to live peacefully here wai. Even the US with all their big guns, police and all their security agencies go through lots of violence every day but you don’t hear them blaming the president. Enough already
Kwesi, where is your home town and which district constituency do you belong in Ghana. Stop this rattling and go there, contest as MP, win and go to parliament and contribute your views.
Hmmmmm, Kwesi Pratt would have been the first to comment if it was the corruption perception index rankings that was released, double standards, enemy of progress
Thank You, Kwesi Pratt. Brave journalist to condem such a propaganda from IEP. This is ***barred word***, to tell Ghanaians that, Ghana is the second peaceful country in Africa. Such a clear indication of their ignorance about the insecurity crises Ghana is facing at the moment. IEP, STOP that propaganda and your insults to Ghanaians. Daily killings of inocent Ghanaians by armed robbery activities, and you come and tell Ghanaians that the second peaceful country in African. ***barred word***!!
Enemy of progress
Sometimes it is just too difficult trying to make sense out of the senior journalist's submissions. He says one thing and contradicts himself with another. And tries to force it down everybody's throat.
