Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Director of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development at the Presidency, says Ghanaians are being too hard on themselves over the Chinese galamsey offender, Aisha Huang, who has been arrested again following her re-entry into Ghana.
According to him, the arrest of Aisha Huang should be good news to the nation but instead Ghanaians are more concerned and focused on the negative side of the issue.
"The person has been arrested. It proves that we are not completely a failed system, because if we were completely as failed as we want it to seem, I don't think we would have arrested her. Maybe she wasn't arrested on a day after she arrived or the same day but the most important thing is she has been arrested," he said while speaking on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo".
Dennis Miracles argued that it is normal to find immigrants return to countries they have been expelled from, therefore Aisha's case is no different.
" . . these illegals are everywhere including the most sophiscated countries with systems in place all over the world . . . I think sometimes, as a country, we should give ourselves benefit of the doubt," he stated.

Agreed, there are illegal immigrants everywhere but not all of them are lawless like this Chinese reject who is destroying Ghana's environment with impunity and surprisingly you see so called big men who are defending her because of their selfish interests. But for the support she may be getting from azaaa so called politicians who is a Chinese reject to come to Ghana and misbehave .Kosia like that.
I think sometimes we need to pause a bit and do some reflections and not add more “salt to injury”. I believe the phrase “ nothing new under the sun” is known to most. At least, I can confirm that “Mexicans” cross over to the US to commit same crimes that they were previously convicted of and deported. Well. As to how they do it is a question. Your judgement is as good as mine. Let this woman pay for her crimes and we shouldn’t dig so much into it. We have brothers, sisters and relatives who find themselves in such quagmires all the time. Are we going to throw the baby with the dirty waters?
Yes but in which country can such a public deportee return with impunity to commit the same offences??? In which country can you nreak laws so flagrantly and be merely deported? You have lost your mind Sir. You think Ghanaians are `non compos mentis` eh?! Please do annoy us oh.
