Deep Reflection! I am beginning to understand that the Paying of tithes is just like E-levy, every new hand (receiver) is expected to pay something (smh). The church and the government of Ghana is the same. They are all scammers, or something is not being done right. This is the reason why the government is not able to control the churches and the leaders of churches are also afraid and/or fail to speak up about the government. They are all doing the same exact things. Let's all speak truth to power. What about if we decide to have religious representation in parliament? What about if the government institute an entity that would audit churches? The mega corporate churches in Ghana (all know their names and don’t force me to mention any church) are the biggest culprit of the spiral depreciation value of our once strong cedi. Trust you me, almost all these churches have a foreign account (predominantly, dollar, pound, Euros). The same offerings and tithes are used as a weapon to devalue our currency because these collections in cedi values from churches are changed into the hard currencies. Is the government not aware of these. Passing of a bill or amending parts of our constitutions and backed by stringent penalties will help in diversifying power in more hand and strengthening our institutions. I believe none of these bodies (churches and the government) would be afraid to discharge its core constitutionally mandated duties without fear or favor. Guess what? A true and pure checks and balances would be injected into our social, political, religious, and economic landscape. I hope some will listen to this. God save our Nation. God save our country. God heal our land.
The ministers of the church of Pentecost must not misslead their congragation with these prayers and fasten for the nation. Please, let the authorities of Ghana Church of pentecost tackle the root cuses of Ghanas economic crises and make a concrete and pragmatig contributions in solving such socio-economic problems rather than hidding behind religious sanctities such as fasten and prayers. Ghanaians are expecting the Pastors of Church of pentecost to add their prophetic voices to the removal of the finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta, Osafo Maafo Senior Adviser to the President, Osei Akoto the Agric Minister and reshuffle some of his underperformed MCEand DCEs. The economic sufferings and hardships facing Ghanaians are created by the imprudent and shortsighted decisions of the current politicians. Their tribal and greediness politiking have turned Ghanas economy upside down. The Pastors of the church of Pentecost must not pretend and cover up such selfish politicians with fasten and prayers. The prophetich diemenssion of the Gospel of Christ which they preach must denounce corruption and greediness amoung todays politicians. "Not prayers and fasten" Pentecost pastors be bold to demostrate your concerns along the streets of Accra, Kumasi Tamale Tadi, Ho etc and stop the propaganda of fasten and prayers which is a pretends in the darkness of the tunnel. A hungry man, still remains a hungry man and no amount of prayers and fasten will remove his hunger unlss you have given him bread and water. Use your pentecostal charism to show your solidarity to the sufferings of Ghanaians by calling on the resignation of Akufo-Addos and Bawumias Presidency. For the sake of PEACE in Ghana, pentecostal pastors call the finance minister to step down. Be bold and exercise your pentecostal charism.
