The Leader of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisi says the latest statement from the Ghana Police Service cautioning leaders of religious groups about the communication of prophecies is merely an ‘empty threat’.
He took to social media to vent his frustration after calling on the police to rather focus their attention on politicians stealing from the public purse.
“Ghana Police Service Should be busy arresting all the criminals in government who are making life soo hard for the common man.”
“Again, there are more serious cases that have a national interest like, who killed J.B, like the political actors who have made our once good drinking water turned into Choco milo, galamsey."
“The attention of the police there is not the best to say tho. Like the Ayawaso Wagouon by-elections, the people who inflicted pains (harm) on the ordinary citizen are still walking freely, with all the evidence,” he lamented on social media.
The police on December 27, 2022, served as a reminder to the Prophets about what the law states about prophecies and urged them to comply.
The attempt by the Ghana Police Service to regulate prophecies received massive backlash when it was first made last year, and the disapproval of it appears to be the same this year.
Prophet Nigel Gaisi who is against the statement by the police said he and other prophets will do God’s work regardless of the caution.
“The role of the prophetic or prophets in nation-building cannot be underestimated or disrespected. Suffice to say, the hallmark of every prophet is BOLDNESS FROM ABOVE Hence, I suggest to all prophets to be led by the Holy spirit on 31st December Night/dawn and be circumspect because of the evil times, no prophet of God should be cowed into silence or be afraid” parts of his statement read.”

@Isaac: Why didn’t you say Akuffo Addo and Ken Ofori Atta are also Con men who have plunged this country to unprecedented hardships. Theirs are more dangerous than the Pastors. Not everyone of us goes to them. But for the policies and actions of the Akuffo Addo and Ken Ofori Atta affects us all. It affects us every blessed day. You fail to point out what this wicked govt has done to our economy since they came to power. You are very biased. If you claim you are a Christian say that truth for once and stop being a hypocrite.
@Kwame: This is not the hard real truth and stop defending the Nigel Gaisie. Those saying Nigel Gaisie is wrong are real patriots and not hypocrites. No body is saying IGP should not deal with criminals and this includes pastors and politicians. Frankly, this IGP has been one of the best IGPs so far in Ghana. Wontumi is being investigated by the Special Prosecutor and if you have evidence, go and help him with your information. In fact, both NPP, NDC and some Ghanaians are corrupt as Satan, period. However, in democracy, you must have evidence to charge an alleged criminal at court and follow the "due process". If you have evidence of criminality against NPP officials, please give it to IGP or Special Prosecutor. Indeed, SP pleaded with Ghanaians to give him information about corrupt activities, yesterday on Newsfile. IGP cannot go round arresting people without evidence. If IGP goes about arresting without evidence, there will be fire in Ghana. Many pastors in Ghana are scammers, looking for vulnerable and poor people to con/scam them of their monies. It is too painful to see so-called men of God doing this. Pastors in Ghana are not social workers but more than armed robbers and let call a spade a spade. What don't they take cassocks around their necks and engage these criminal behaviours? They done these sinful things in Ghana for too long. Enough is enough. We must call out these pastors and IGP is 100% correct hence Nigel Gaisie and Owusu Bempah didn't give names of those going to die in his prophecies yesterday. We don't use division and fear to con people instead of giving their members hope as preached by Jesus.
What Nigel Gaisie has said is the real hard truth. You guys against what he has said are all hypocrites who don’t want to see our nation progress. look at how the NPP and their criminal cronies have milked this nation and have sent us back to IMF. The police sits idle and let these politicians have a field day. Wontumi has polluted our waters and he is walking scot free and you are there saying Nigel is wrong. As for NPP, nature will punish them very very well. You see how shameful they are looking now. after they bragged their way into power they are now saying the IMF is the savior. They have no shame. Now individual bond holders have been added to the debt exchange programme. what a confused govt made of ***barred word***
@Kate if the one not in government has two V8's and building a mansion at the airport hills, tied the knot recently that cost millions then when comes to government what will happen?
False prophet. No, wonder the Bible has said it already. My biggest problem is intellectuals who attend these us1ess churches led by woman1zers like Gaisie. This guy is a confused person
@Kate: Nigel Gaisie is wrong, period. What this man - Nigel Gaisie is saying is palpable ***barred word*** similar to what Dr Tetteh said yesterday. Pastors using prophecies as criminal venture to put fear into citizens and in many cases con them. I am sorry, it has no place in Ghana as these pastors are breaking families and creating problems in societies which bible speak against. Dr Tetteh, they are not few as you want us to be believe. These pastors dominate the sector and they are in our villages, towns and cities. Dr Tetteh said that police doing this trample on our freedoms but failed to say that democracy and freedom thrive on truth and not false prophecies. Freedom of speech goes with responsibility. Nigel Gaisie's analysis is sloppy and his comparisons make me sick. Is he saying that IGP should round arresting people without evidence? Give him the names of the criminals and let us move from there.
Nigel Gaisie is not far from wrong though the clergy should be mindful of their responsibilities and utterances. However, he raised some legitimate concerns. Look at a party foot soldiers who cannot even afford a mere bicycle but are seen driving V8’s, build mansions and what have you, after barely a year when their parties assume office. These are the real criminals who must be apprehended by the police.
If you are man you dare try and you will see!
