According to him, the church should not only preach the gospel but must also demonstrate its practicality hence the need to support the hospital to help provide quality services to the residents.
We believe that there is the need to contribute our quota to the community. We believe we must reach out to the needy and other organizations. Indeed as a church, we have many obligations but social responsibility is one core function of the church and we have just come here to present this as our token of contribution towards helping the hospital, he said.
Mr. Abdallah Shardow, the Hospital Administrator who received the items on behalf of the Hospital thanked the church for speedily responding to their needs.
According to him, the hospital at a point appealed to the church and others to come to their aid and pledged that the items will be used to fulfill its purpose to the benefit of the community.
He said the hospital is currently in need of a bigger plant to help augment the existing one, saying, What we are having now is too small and we need a bigger one to help us upgrade the system, he said.
The hospital is the only major government medical facility in Kasoa is the Central region and the condition under which it operates is a bit deplorable.
Responding to the appeal after presenting the items, Rev. Boateng urged the authorities to trust in the Lord and to continuously pray for the leaders for breakthrough.
Sureway as a church will continue to play its vital social responsibilities to the community and beyond. We shall not hesitate to come to your aid when the Lord blesses us or God opens the door. We trust that the almighty God will be with us so that we can add more to the benefit of our community," he said.
