Four people have been injured in violent clashes between residents of Sabun Zongo and Dagew communities in the Upper East region.
According to an eyewitness, the clashes began when one Alhaji Yakubu from Zabun Zongo erected a container on a land allegedly belonging to the other group who subsequently vandalized the said property.
Abdulai Issahaku, spokesperson of the Dagomba community in Bolgatanga told Citi News that the matter was reported to the Bolga Naa Ba after clashes broke out between the two communities some weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the assemblyman of the Zongo and Dagew communities, Abdul Hamid says the incident has been reported to the police who are currently patrolling the area to ensure peace.
He has called on the government to intervene before it turns into a tribal war.
