President John Dramani Mahama on Friday by Executive Instrument declared Monday, May 27 as a statutory public holiday.
A statement signed by Mr Kwesi Ahwoi, Minister of the Interior, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, directed that the day should be observed as such throughout the country.
It said: �the general public is hereby reminded that Saturday, May, 25, which marks African Union Day, is a statutory public holiday, but since it fell on Saturday, President Mahama has declared Monday May 27 as a public Holiday�.
