The Eastern Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Mr. Alex Sackey, has encouraged the youth to take the trouble to study the Constitution - to know their rights and responsibilities as citizens.
They should not only have better understanding of their fundamental freedoms but their civic responsibilities.
Mr. Sackey said this was important to keep the nation’s democracy on the path of growth. He was addressing an annual civic forum held by the Commission at the Adonten Senior High School (SHS) at Aburi.
He indicated that the NCCE would continue to help to nurture and build in the youth strong moral values to become responsible citizens.
Mr. Alex Owusu-Akyaw, the Akuapem South District Director of Commission, advised the young people to work hard on their books and refuse to cut corners.
