An associate pastor of the Blessing Gate Chapel International in Sunyani, Pastor Boniface Boadi, has condemned the use of bible applications among contemporary Christians.
According to him, the reason “many so called Christians” opted for software bibles was because they were into sin and worldliness, making them afraid to use the physical bible which contained the Spirit and Power of God.
At a Good Friday service, Pastor Boadi noted that the use of the software copies of the bible only distracted attention during service.
“The original Bible is the recommendable Bible for every believer as it stands for the cross, and contains the power and anointing of Jesus Christ.”
Pastor Boadi noted that the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary brought redemption to humanity, and therefore called on Christians to reflect and examine their lives.
“Any church which does not believe in the death of Jesus Christ is not founded on good biblical doctrines,” he said and advised Christians to walk and abide by biblical principles and be guided by the spirit of altruism as well.

EiiiiiThe original bible was not on paper. Lack of knowledge makes people perish. Eventually, we're moving into a paperless era. You better accept the new technology or forever be left behind.
STOP THE USE OF THE TAB AND USE BIBLE.THOSE USING THE TAB AS BIBLE WILL REGRET ONE DAY.
I beg to differ!!. What is his point? The spirit is in the paper version of the bible and not the electronic version? Really? Where did this man go to for pastoral training? Aaaaaba, this is so unwarranted.
What is the point in carrying one book when I can access over 200 Translations on a tablet which is easier to study and use. We should as well be reading from scrolls, stones and clay tablets
good advice but logically we need to go back to the scrolls for the real power of the word. The power is in the word and not the canvas or medium.
This is very myopic. From your logic, we should be reading from scrolls. Come to think of it maybe you need a good phone or tablet

This is what happens when anyone can call themselves a pastor. One wonders the value of the advice you give to your "flock" when they come to you for counseling thinking that you are indeed ordained by God. Stop calling yourself a pastor and may God have mercy on your soul.
Someone should tell the pastor that he should not use cars to travel. Because Jesus was walking from one place to the other in his ministry on earth.
Thanks Pastor for your advice, but I believe that not all those who use the Bible app are sinners or indulging in sin or worldliness, we should not judge people by this act and condemn them on top. Technology can be used for the good and the bad and its depends on the individual. I have seen many pastors using the bible app in church; can we say all of them are sinners as you claimed? What happens if a particular government comes and seizes all paper bibles in the world? Personally, I will not condemn the use of bible apps on phones or laptops or tablets. Instead of condemning the use of the app, let us educate people on how to best use the app in church or in the home. The bible app on the electronic device has many advantages, and it does not take away the power of God from His word, the power of the bible is not in the paper but the WORD. The bible app comes with many other applications like commentaries, translations, references and many other bible versions for sound bible study all in one platform. My worry is the distractions or the temptations that comes with it since one can easily be tempted to use his phone, WIFI, WhatsApp or text messaging during church services, but these calls for personal disciple and the fear of God in His presence. I therefore advice that to avoid distractions during church service and temptations to use the phone or tablets, users can put their devices on airplane mode or turn off the network signal or turn off the Wi-Fi or data so they don't get distracted. We should give the reverence to God in His presence and only use the phone or the device for the bible app purposes during church services. We should also constantly educate the youth on the use of the bible app during church services before the services starts.
