The mother of the late Major of the Ghana Army who was lynched in Denkyira-Obuasi has received his master’s degree certificate on his behalf.
The mother is seen in a Facebook post circulating holding his master’s degree and posing for the cameras with some students of the Leicester University.
Major Mahama, an officer of the 5th Infantry Battalion, is said to have been on his daily jogging routine on Monday [May 29, 2017], when some angry youth of the town attacked him, allegedly on suspicion of being an armed robber.
The Police subsequently arrested over fifty suspects who had fled the town to other regions in the country.
The court earlier ordered the police to relocate seventeen-year-old boy, Ebenezer Asamoah, one of the suspects to a borstal home when he is remanded until the police are able to establish that he is eighteen.

Ghanaians paaa, you people are not serious the guy was used as purification for the gods which made John Mahama President of Ghana the gods needed that blood and John Mahama was aware. When the former President John Atta Mills died and John Mahama was sown in as President, a voice spoke to me from Heaven that agent of Satan has taken over Ghana. I advice Ghanaians to stop mourning the dead and seek the face of GOD for the truth, I also advice the Court to have compassion for the people who were used by the demonic gods to achieve their purpose. I have a lot to say but I leave them to the Almighty God who judges all hearts. God bless Ghana
The mother of Major Maxwell Mahama receiving her dead son Master Degree comprises a mixture of joyful tears in the eyes of the General public and profoundly, concealed a sadness heart on a solitary road.
PEOPLE MUST HAVE THE HEART AND STRENGTH TO FORGIVE THOSE WHO HATE THEM AND MALTREAT THEM. THAT'S ALSO A NECESSITY OF LIFE. DO I SENSE A LINGERING PAIN AND BITTERNESS. WHILE WE CANT BLAME THIS LOVING MOTHER, WE MUST HELP HER OUT OF THE POTENTIAL PRISON OF UNFORGIVENESS TOWARDS HER SON'S MURDERERS. THAT'S WHEN HER TRUE RELIEF WOULD COME.
