Members of Parliament have outlined the importance of hand washing in the country.
Their comments come as the country joins the rest of the world to mark the UN Global Handwashing Day which is set aside to create awareness of washing one’s hands with soap as a key approach to disease prevention.
Commemorating the day on the floor of the House on Tuesday, October 17, Water and Sanitation Minister, Joseph Kofi Adda, reiterated his quest to see a clean Ghana by advocating for hand washing in order to protect the health of the citizenry.
Mr Adda, who appeared on the floor with some hand washing items signifying the importance of hand washing, proceeded to demonstrate the proper procedure of hand washing.
