The Ghana Airports Company Ltd has confirmed the completion of the terminal 3 project at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
This should provide more room for airlines and quick processing for passengers going through the Kotoka International Airport.
The Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company, John Atteffuah said “The terminal three is completed but the contractor has not handed over to us, they’ve indicated there is some tidying up to do.
So when they are done they will hand it over to us then so we will do our operational transfer then it will be commissioned for use,” he told JoyBusiness.
The new terminal is expected to handle up to five million passengers a year which would be twice the capacity of the current terminal 2 at the KIA.
With the added on capacity, passengers could be processed faster, Airlines will have adequate space to provide better services for passengers and issues of congestion that used to mark the terminal 2 will be a thing of the past.

TERMINAL 3? SO WHERE IS TERMINAL 1 AND 2? HMMM EH!GHANA. IN OTHER PLACES TERMINALS ARE SEPARATED FORM EACH OTHER. IS GHANAS TERMINAL 1,2,AND 3 ALL AT KOTOKA? WHAT A MAGIC COUNTRY CALLED GHANA.
All those praising JM should bow your heads in shame. The new terminal was a loan that the Ghana Airport Company acquired from the Turkish government and let their Turkish contractors to construct the project. Mind of your airport taxes that we all pay when we buy air tickets and also parking fees at the airport. Let's stop being hypocrites for God's sake,if you still don't get it you go and take the airport terminal and give it to JM to put it inside his pocket.
JM Legacy.John Mahama, yen Akwantufuo ni Abrokyire fuo dawase. God bless you
This news site is so biased they can't even mention to us the year the project started let alone JM.... God bless you JM....
The construction company is Mapa Construction MNG Holdings
God bless JM, nana go and commission for JM
This will all amount to nothing if the substandard customer service that characterises so many of Ghana's institutions is not improved as well as the perennial ***barred word*** who pilfer from peoples belongings at the airport.
