An Executive Member of the Electoral Commission (EC), Adwoa Asuama Abrefa, has been spotted on one of Accra’s busy streets preaching the Gospel of God.
Ms. Abrefa, who until her appointment was little known in Ghanaian politics, was seen with a microphone and sharing the word of God at a Bus Stop around the Accra Mall.
In the background of a photo of Ms. Abrefa, said to have been taken around the Accra Mall, is a couple identified as Rev. and Mrs. Obimpeh, members of The Maker’s House Chapel International, Dome-Kwabenya, Accra where the Executive Member of the EC also fellowships.
The EC member also holds the position as a Member of the Board of Trustees of The Maker’s House Chapel International and has been instrumental in the church’s growth.
She was appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo in July alongside three others including current EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa as well as Mr Samuel Tetteh and Dr Eric Bossman Asare to the Commission.
Their appointments follow the removal of Charlotte Osei and three of her deputies from office after an investigative committee instituted by the Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo, found them guilty of stated misbehaviour.
Lawyer Nana Adwoa as she is known to many is passionate about winning souls for Christ and act has posed a challenge to many Christians who occupy high positions in both private and the public sectors, to openly step out to preach the word of God and win souls.
In a chat with newsmen, Ms. Abrefa said she has “been doing evangelism for God knows how long now” confirming that she was even out yesterday [Monday, November 12] to evangelise.
“...the marching orders that Jesus gave to us before He left was ‘Go ye into the world and preach the Gospel.....’ I think it's wise to place value on what God places value on because that's when you'll be bearing fruits for God.
“Remember Bible says that a tree that does not bear fruit is cut off and burnt and remember humans in the Bible are sometimes referred to as trees so we got to be useful to God...knowing that if I take care of God's own, He will take care of mine,” she added.
Although one cannot be wrong to suggest that a number of the preachers we see on the streets and transport terminals may be in the business to fill their stomachs, the act of Ms. Abrefa also proves that there are indeed some, who may be have-it-all but are hungry to rescue souls for Jesus Christ.

Good job woman of God. If Ghana gets 20 of your type, we will see the change we are looking for. To those who are criticising you, let them live in their folly.
KUDOS WOMAN OF GOD,MAY GOD SUSTAIN YOU.
Is she not supposed to be working for the job by which she was employed? Only in Ghana. Any other civilized country she would have been fired long ago. Ghana , change your mindset and be real. if you want to become a pastor relinquish your job so that some body else would take that position and save the tax payer's money. These brain washing thing is all caused by the fake pastors in the system. No one brandishing christianity but the way ghanaians go about it is so suspect. Wake up folks.
@Obofour. Please, please, please. Don't put every preacher into one basket and give the a bad name. Don't be judgemental because you haven't heard the gospel message this lady preached yet you have classified it as noise and not biblical. Are you not happy that someone, high or low in society, is confidently preaching the Word of God?? Leave the judgement for God who alone knows the heart and motives of Man. God bless preachers of the Gospel of Grace and God bless you, Obofour.
THAT WAS OBSERVATION OF POP
THIS IS SERIOUS. I AM A CHRISTIAN AND LOVE GOD AND MY NATION. I KNOW VERY WELL THROUGH EXPERIENCE THAT MANY OF THE PEOPLE OF SUCH KING DO NOT THINKKK RIGHTTT. THEY ARE FANATICSSSS. THEY PREFER NOT TO USE THEIR BRAINSS BUT THEIR EMOTIONS AND SENTIMENTS. THEY ARE LESS PRAGMATIC AND LESS REASONABLE. WE NEED LEVEL HEADED PEOPLE FOR THE WORK OF EC.CHARLOTTE WAS LIKE THAT AND SHE FAILED TO COLLABORATE WITH OTHERS TO WORK WELL. SHE WAS SPOTTED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WITH WOMEN AGLOW FOR THEIR PRAYER ENCOUNTERS AND YET SHE WAS CORRUPT. THIS WOMAN ABREFA MUST BE WATCHED CAREFULLY. THE PREVIOUS COMMENTS ABOVE SHOW THAT MANY GHANAIANS DO NOT SEE THINGS FROM AFAR. WE MUST ALWAYS BEEN OPEN MINDED. GOD SAVE OUR NATION. GOD SAVE AFRICA.
Madam commissioner/Rev.Good work done, may the holy reflection in you be fruitful both in your ministries for God and country.Blessed.
