Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has disclosed that the country is likely to access the first tranche of the 2 billion dollars SINOHYDRO infrastructure for bauxite facility deal in the early part of next year.
According to the Minister, after the initial hurdles were successfully managed, Ghana is ready to tap into the first tranche of the Master Project Support Agreement between the Government of Ghana and SINOHYDRO of China worth $649 million dollars which was entered into last year and subsequently approved by Parliament.
Speaking at the first in the series of his bi-weekly media briefing, Hon Oppong Nkrumah, indicated that two sets of contracts, namely Engineering Procurement Construction contracts (EPC) and Deferred Payment Agreements (DPA) have to this effect been laid before Parliament.
He therefore elaborated that Parliament’s Finance committee and Roads and Highways committee are scheduled to meet on the agreements at 2pm Wednesday, after which the committee’s report will be presented to the plenary hopefully before the end of this month to pave way for construction work to begin.

So two interchanges; one in Tamale and the other in Takoradi + 657.78Km of roads with $649m. These will be single lane or double lane roads at most or, with better covered drainage systems, solar powered street lights, traffic lights etc, etc?

these projects when completed will collapse ndc party, because no ghanaian will ever vote for the ndc again
