Director of LGBTQI+ Rights in Ghana, Alex Kofi Donkor, has asked Ghanaians to look at issues relating to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexuals, Transgender and Queer Individuals (LGBTQI), as human right issues.
He told TV3’s Miriam Osei Agyemang on Friday February 19 that persons who are identified as LGBTQI are verbally and physically attacked in the country.
This, he said, must stop because they have fundamental human rights that must be respected and protected by the society.
Explaining the reasons behind the setup of an LGBTQI office in Ghana, he said “We created an office space where we talk about issues which affect us as community and ways in which we can resolve the issues.
“Let me quickly say in this country a lot of times we do experience a lot of violence and abuse that are perpetuated towards people who are identified as LGBTQI or people who are perceived as LGBTQI persons.
“When these violence are perpetuated against such people it goes unattended to, people do that with impunity.”

Why should Tv3 in the first place entertain them on their newtwork. Is Ghana as a country turning into Sodom and Gomorrah
If you dont close it NDC would use it against you in next elections, Per Ghana's law LGBTQ is illegal, so shouldn't the government be able to close that office openly advocating for an illegality, soon drug dealers and thiefs would openly open offices and also claim human rights to eat.
This is wickedness. How can we accept this ***barred word*** in our decent society? Was that not what Sodom and Gomorrah were doing and God rained fire upon them? Thank God is time to rain fire upon these corrupt nations. How can a man be sleeping with another man through anal sex. Even goats, pigs etc don't behave this way. Foooooooliiiiiiiishneeeessss. The president of Ghana and other civil society groups hands are tired by euro and dollars so they don't have the backbone to close that office. Shame on you! For the first time in the history of Ghana, LGBTs opened their office under the NPP government we thought is protecting our unique culture. No wonder many are into it secretly. Judgement will soon strike and we shall see your so-called rights. Nonesense!
