Heavily armed police officers in five pickups stormed the office of Adabraka-based Citi FM on Tuesday, 11 May 2021 to arrest a female journalist, Zoe Abu Baido Addo for allegedly conspiring with her colleague Caleb Kudah, also of Citi FM, to “secretly film” the compound of the Ministry of National Security.
Mr Kudah was arrested while filming the premises of the ministry as he waited for someone he had gone there to visit. He allegedly sent the videos to his female colleague who was in the office of the radio station at the time, prompting the war-style invasion of the media house by the armed police officers to effect the arrest of the female journalist.
Ms Abu Baidoo Addo was later released after questioning. However, Mr Kudah, who was handcuffed by the police officers, is yet to be released.

It is sad to see only 5 pick-ups and arm officers. At least it should not be less that 20 police cars and arm officers. These crazy lazy media guys in Ghana are our problem. How can you just walk to the head office of the state security agents, without permission or even authorisation from your own media house with camera and start filming and running commentary and expect the state security to kiss your ***barred word***? It's a joke. Walk to the HQ of the MI6 in England or the CIA in America and start filming and run commentary and see if you will still be a living person. The majority of these young journalist in Ghana have no sense of direction and don't even know the ethos of their profession. What a fooll he is. He must thank his God to be alive.
