The executives of Tano South constituency of the National Democratic Congress have expressed dismay about a group of people seeking to tarnish the reputation of Dr Hannah Bisiw, Deputy Minister of Works, Housing and Water Resources.
In a statement signed by the secretary of the constituency, Mr Kwame Amponsah Kusi, it said Dr Bisiw is a young, hard working lady who stands out as a role model and inspiration to the youth, especially the women folk.
The statement said the deputy minister had been very proactive by going round to solicit for support and resources to help better the lot of the people in the constituency adding that it is very unfortunate that while we talk of gratitude, a few individuals as a result of their parochial interests are seeking to create the impression that the good works of the minister are a crime and a capital offence.
It said the deputy minister had provided dormitories for schools, potable water, given support to religious activities, supported the sick and the physical handicapped, facilitated programmes to entertain and unite the youth and provided eye and breast screening exercises for the community.
It said the detractors are some people in the constituency who felt overshadowed by the activities of the deputy minister and wanted to do everything to scandalize her adding that the system would soon expose them.
The statement urged Dr Bisiw to ignore the accusations, remain focused and continue to play her part towards the realization of the governments Better Ghana Agenda.
