President John Evans Atta Mills will leave Accra Friday, January 27, for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the 18th ordinary session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Governments of the African Union.
President Mills is expected to deliver the key note address on the theme �Boosting Intra Africa Trade.� He would also be the guest of honour at the unveiling of a statue of Ghana�s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, at the forecourt of a newly constructed AU building.
A release issued by the office of the president in Accra today, said President Mills has invited two children of the late president, Dr Francis Nkrumah, eldest son and Ms Samia Nkrumah, chairperson of the Convention People�s Party (CPP), to join him in the unveiling of the statue, in honour of their father, for the leading role he played in the African liberation struggle and the Pan Africanist Movement.
President Mills is expected back on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
