The Majority Chief Whip, Hon. Gershon Gbediame, has said the dispute over the review of emoluments for Article 71 office holders will be settled between July and October this year.
Last week, the members of Ghanas legislature threatened to boycott parliamentary proceedings if their concerns over the review of their emoluments are not addressed.
President Mills quickly requested the setting up of a technical committee to review the provisions of the Professor Ewurama Addy Committee report relating to the conditions of service of Article 71 office holders.
According to Hon. Gbediame, President Mills will soon receive the report from the technical committee he set up and act on the recommendations made.
Hon. Gbediame also commended the President for his proactive approach to the settlement of the issue concerning the conditions of service of Article 71 office holders.
