The National Democratic Congress has downplayed the latest report by the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) pointing out the ruling party as the worst culprit in the use of abusive language during media political discourse.
The MFWA has been publishing weekly monitoring reports of language used by political party representatives on various media platforms.
This is the second consecutive time the NDC has come tops in the use of abusive language in the MFWA weekly report. But a deputy general secretary of the party George Lawson in an interview with XYZ News said the media foundation must come clear on what it considers as abusive language.
I have not heard anybody using any insulting language anywhere so if they are saying it they will have to tell us where they heard it Mr Lawson said.
He added that we will look at it and if it is true then we will work at it but if it is a blanket statement then who is going to accept it.
But I have not heard anybody using insulting language on air
