General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, has forewarned management of the Ghana Broadcasting Cooperation not to attempt to tamper with voices and screen shots that are meant to be streamed live from the Supreme Court premises since the party would be keeping an eagle eye on their production.
Asked by the host of Okay FMs Ade Akye Abia morning show why he (Sir John) was making this statement at this final hour when many deemed the live broadcast as a blessing to the nation, the NPP scribe sharply noted, once bitten, twice shy.
According to him, the NPP as a party has been treated unfairly by GBC on several occasions.
Citing an example to buttress his claim, Sir John as the NPP scribe is popularly known, stated that when the former late President Atta Mills passed on and was laid in bed, GBC deliberately took out the portions of Nana Addo paying his last respect to the deceased.
He continued that it turned out to generate series of arguments in the country before the GBC production team released the original tape which was not aired on the very day Nana Addo paid his respect.
He ended by appealing to them not to interrupt the live coverage and allow Ghanaians to see the likes of Asiedu Nketia who come to court to sleep; but end up granting interviews and claiming the NDC will win the case.
