The National Youth Organiser of the Progressive People's Party (PPP,) Divine Nkrumah, has called on the John Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to show respect to Ghanaians who voted them into power.
He however wonders why the same electorates who voted for John Dramani Mahama to become President are complaining bitterly.
I hear a lot of people complaining about economic hardship in recent times, attributing it to the increase in utility tariffs, VAT and fuel prices. It seems every Ghanaian is crying about bad governance under President John Dramani Mahama. But i find it difficult to understand why they (Ghanaians) keep complaining about the NDC administration.Who voted for the NDC? Is it not Ghanaians? They (Ghanaians) should stop complaining. The bad leadership we are experiencing now is what they voted for in 2012. What positive results were they (Ghanaians) expecting when they decided to vote for the NDC?
It is said that he who calls the tune, must be prepared to dance to it. We must all keep quiet and ponder on how we can survive these tough times until 2016 when we have the opportunity to choose a competent leader, Divine Nkrumah said.
Speaking in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, the PPP activist held the view that, the current economic crisis that seems to have the nation in a choke-hold is terrifying to everyone; but unnecessary whining will not solve the problem. For many of us, stress and anxiety have become our companions.
He however quickly added that, All hope is not lost. 2016 is just around the corner. It will present an opportunity for Ghanaians, once again, to vote for somebody who has the demonstrable record to deliver like the PPPs 2012 presidential candidate, Dr. NduomGhanaians must stop attacking the president and his administrationWe should stop complaining and let Prez Mahama be.
