Minority Leader in Parliament Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has brushed aside the incessant criticism of President John Mahamas State of the Nation address on Tuesday describing his delivery as fairly good.
Speaking on UTVs Adekye Nsroma programme, the Member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency stated that on the average, the President was good with his delivery but what nearly marred his speech was his interminable call for attention.
He made those calls to lighten the atmosphere but when it becomes too many, it then seem as though he is speaking to kids. With comments like, keep quiet I am coming to give u lessons in economics, he told Tweneboah Koduah host of the show.
This comes after the Minority Leader had alleged that the address was a recycle of what President Mahama said in 2013.
I noticed though that it is a rehash and perhaps a recycling of many of the things but the debate hasnt begun and so I reserve my comments, he said.
Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsus comment has drawn sharp criticism from many who describe his submission as contradictory, but he is of the view that the delivery and the content of the speech are two different issues.
