If you happen to hear President Mahama speak on any issue, please do well to borrow a friends ear, add it to yours; care less about your looks and listen to every word that falls out his mouth. Endeavor to memorize each line if possible and take him on should he fail to deliver a promise.
This caution comes from Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, the Minority Leader in Parliament. In an interview with Okay FM, he wondered what has changed for the president to suddenly trumpet free Senior High School (SHS) Education.
It is on record that the National Democratic Congress, led by President Mahama in the 2012 general elections, kicked against the free SHS promise which was the main campaign message of the opposition New Patriotic Party.
But during an address to the nation some few days ago, President Mahama emphasized that the free SHS project would be rolled out progressively under his watch in 2016.
It is on the back of this that Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu believes Ghanaians must be wary of campaign promises of the NDC. He described the promises as lies usually presented as truth to voters who the NDC considers as nave.
