The National Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rejected a petition by Mr Paul Afoko, challenging his suspension as National Chairman.
The party has, accordingly, upheld his suspension.
According to unconfirmed media reports, 70 people voted to uphold Mr Afoko’s suspension, while one person voted against the motion.
Six people, also, abstained from voting.
Mr Afoko was suspended two weeks ago by the NPP's National Executive Committee (NEC) for allegedly working against the interest of the party.
First Vice-Chairman, Mr Freddy Blay, has been appointed acting National Chairman.
