Editor-in-Chief of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt, has called for the disbandment of vigilante groups in the nation.
According to him, the rise of vigilante groups poses serious threats to the security of the country.
Commenting on the recent raid at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) headquarters Monday dawn, Kwesi Pratt condemned the activities of vigilante groups and believed their presence does not augur well for any nation.
He alluded to some activities of vigilante groups in countries like Britain and France, which ended up in chaos all over the streets, hence causing major problems.
“Vigilante groups everywhere are a danger. Everywhere and anywhere, it is a major danger. Britain (United Kingdom) has had to take measures to deal with vigilante groups because they’ve realized that it is a major problem especially in underprivileged areas and so on. If you can recall, last year or two years ago; fire raged France. Several parts of Paris and so on were in flames by vigilante groups,” he posited while contributing to discussions on PeaceFM's "Kokrokoo" Morning Show.
