Seasoned Journalist Abdul Malik Kweku Baako says Ghanaians should not be too happy about the introduction of the emergency power barge by the government to resolve the energy problems in the country.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide held strongly that there is no need for Ghanaians to delight in this government's initiative.
This is because the power barge is not a remedy for the perennial energy crises confronting Ghanaians, Mr. Baako noted.
“Ghanaians should not get over-excited. In fact, we shouldn’t get excited at all. Yes, we shouldn’t because we’ve been told that it doesn’t constitute a solution or resolution of the problems. It’s only come to facilitate it.”
He also described as "needless" the ceremony that the government held to welcome the power barge into the country.
“I think all those things were needless. I didn’t see the point…I don’t understand all of it.”
