President John Mahama during an interview with TV3 this week, challenged Nana Akufo Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to a debate indicating that the NPP flagbearer has raised some 'contentious' issues on how he (Mahama) is managing the affairs of the country.
"I am willing to debate Nana Akufo-Addo any day, even if you call him today, we will put it here...I don’t have a problem with debating Nana...Indeed he (Nana Addo) has made a lot of contentious statements i would have wished that you had him here so we debate on those issues," President Mahama said.
Subsequently, Nana Akufo Addo responded to the challenge saying “will @ JDMahama debating me solve #Ghana’s problems? If so then I am ready to debate him anytime, anywhere and any day.”
Meanwhile, the flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has dared President John Mahama to debate him “on how to offer alternative solutions” to Ghana’s problems instead of an ‘easy match’ with Nana Addo.
During Wednesday’s panel discussion on PEACE FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, the Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr shared his thoughts on the debate Brouhaha.
