President John Dramani Mahama has asserted that on the average Ghana's economy has grown in a higher quantum in the past eight years than under the Kufour-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.
According to him, every economic indicator under his administration clearly show a marked improvement in the country's economy.
Outdooring the NDC's 2016 Manifesto titled 'Changing Lives, Transforming Ghana' at the Sunyani Coronation Park, President Mahama, who had already given highlights of the manifesto a couple of days ago in Accra, said the NDC manifesto is the best plan to lead Ghana Forward.
He revealed that the working document for the next four years, aims at putting people first, accountable governance and expanding infrastructure for job creation.
Despite an early morning downpour, thousands of NDC supporters clad in party paraphanelia, converged at the event's grounds for the manifesto launch.
Spotting a white long sleeve shirt over an ash trouser, an excited President Mahama, who commenced his address by introducing a new party chant which involves whistling, said unlike previous governments, his adminstration has exposed corruption so much so that it has contributed to Ghana's improved performance in the Transparency Index.
Hailing his administration's efforts in improvement in health, education, and other sectors, he indicated that he is on course to bringing inflation down to a single digit.
Whiles expressing his appreciation to his wife Lordina Mahama who he described as his number one supporter, companion and love for the past 24-years, the First Gentleman urged the people of Sunyani whom he called in-laws (as his wife's home region is B/A) to work together with the NDC, and promised to take care of their beautiful daugther for rest of his life.
He used the occasion to also promise the working force of the country better conditions as the economy grows and further lauded the relationship existing between them and labour since he assumed office.
“We are grateful to organised labour for the peaceful cooperation and relationship over the years. And I promise even better years ahead as our economy grows from strength to strength,” he said.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE OUR MIND, WHAT IS CHANGEABLE IS THE ***barred word***/NDC. WE WAIT FOR DEC'16 7.
THE COWHEAD PRESIDENT AND HIS GANG OF CHEATS WANT TO SUNYANI JUST TO GLORY IN THEIR CORRUPT AND FILTY WEALTH , 1D10TICALLY REJOICING OVER A COFFIN ALLEDGED TO BE NANA ADDO'S WITH THE PRESIDENT IN HIS BEAT ELEMENTS. F0000LISHNESS
How many of your previous promises have you fullfilled?..Mr. Mahama?
NDC is a garrbage party. I will join the millions of Ghanaians who will say a big "NO" to NDC. Mahama/NDC have had more resources to make Ghana better but have failed to help us. People are jobless, food and rent are expensive, we are not getting what we deserve after 8 years of NDC. 12 years is too much for one party to take us for granted. Rawlings used 19years and when he was going we were HIPC. We cannot let bad people stay in government for more than 8 years. Mahama and NDC must go to opposition and have a new look at things from there. Vote for Change to make Ghana better. 8 years of NDC is enough. It is time for change.
Ghanaians what sin did you commit to get this trouble of a president? He just comparing his failed government to president Kuffuor, John mahama put your out on the ground and rob it against gravels, you've cursed your own self, if you talking of the create, lo*t and share you perfect, corruption excellent, unemployment, excellent, collapse of business perfect, collapse of social interventions excellent, collapse of education, perfect, destruction of health care excellent oh yes John mahama you've done far better than Kuffuor in destroying the economy of the country than any other president. All those chiefs calling you a second Nkrumah are mocking at you because they see you as somebody who is blind and the only thing you want to hear is what they tell you. When you are out of government in Dec.7th is there that you will see your folly and don't tell us it was political talk because we are noting down everything.
where is the manifesto???/
Did this empty talker of a President give any figures to verify his outlandi.sh claims about the current state of the economy?
