"The destiny of a nation does not rely on trial and error leaders but in system that work," this is according to the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah when he paid a courtesy call on the Wa Naa and President of the Wala traditional council as part of his six day tour of the Upper West region.
According to him the Presidency is about implementing programs and policies that impact on the life of the people positively and not about "trial and error."
It would be recalled that the leader of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo was calling on Ghanaians to try him as President, but the able Chief of Staff said it doesn't work that way.
The Chief of Staff who is in the region to represent his boss, President John Mahama who is in New York in the USA for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), said the NDC government is working assiduously to transform Ghana and Change lives via workable and tested policies.
"Countries like China, Malaysia or Singapore have achieved more because they kept a particular government that was doing something right to continue, saying, being a President should not be premised on trial and error," the chief of staff stated.
He indicated that as had been acknowledged by the Chiefs and people across the country that the NDC system is working in the area of transforming the country's infrastructure, there is every justification to keep President Mahama and the NDC in power for another eight years.
He goaded the rank and file of the party to intensify their engagement with the people and to explain the manifesto to the people to make victory on December 7 a certainty.
He used the occasion to encourage party supporters to be vigilant and work to enable President Mahama and the NDC to win to continue with the good works he had begun.
He noted that the next NDC government under President Mahama would enhance the agricultural sector and make it attractive to all especially the youth.
He said the NDC intends to improve the systems of agriculture by introducing modern farming implements to make farming charming and appealing.
He said government would take advantage of all arable lands lying fallow into good use as well as enhance the agricultural mechanise centers across the country.

Julius Debra, it is better to vote NDC out with your corruption and bad experience which is breaking our economy. We are not experimenting with NPP. They have been in government before and their performance was better than NDC. NDC took Ghana to HIPC and NPP brought Ghana to middle income economy even without oil. They were able to bring interest down from 52% in 2001 to 16% in 2008, inflation from 45% to 14%. They instituted NHIS, Youth Employment, LEAP, Free maternal care, School feeding, Capitation grant for school children, started afordable housing project which you couldn't complete over a period of 8years. You cannot ***barred word*** us with your experiment propaganda. Pls just be honest to ghanaians that you have failed, period.
Hogs feeding on Ghanaians! All they know is winning elections, but thinking about future generations. They've reduced precidency to comedy, incompetence and corruption is their hallmark.Vote NPP
What you are saying is true Mr. Minister. Its good you have educated us because we tried Mahama and we are now the worst economy ever so we will not do that mistake again. we will give it to NANA ADDO who is visionary, knows what govt is and can govern us back to the promise land
