The foundation of ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ashaiman was shaken on Friday, following a colossal crowd which poured out onto the streets to welcome Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), on his tour of the Greater Accra Region.
The Ashaiman populace proved that, indeed, the party is poised for political victory in 2016.
The crowd flooded the streets of Ashaiman to showcase their love for the party, thereby, causing massive vehicular traffic for their party leader to easily travel through the municipality.
Elated-looking people from all corners of the constituency were seen singing songs and dancing to the party’s song amidst chanting ‘change is coming’.
Sources within the ruling party indicate that both national and constituency executives are having sleepless nights since the day the flagbearer left the area.
The party is still wondering as to how the opposition leader was able to galvanise that massive crowd in its stronghold.
The NDC has held the Ashaiman parliamentary seat from 1992 until in 2001 when confusion rocked the party, paving way for the NPP candidate to sail through.
The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, Alfred Kwame Agbesi, won the seat back to the NDC since the 2004 elections and has maintained the seat.
He lost his bid to represent his party for the fourth time to Mr Ernest Norgbey, who is now the parliamentary candidate for the 2016 elections.

OH MY ENEMY DON'T REJOICE OVER ME,WHEN I FALL I SHALL RISE UP AGAIN, WHEN I SIT IN DARKNESS THE LORD SHALL BE MY LIGHT. EVEN IF HE FELL , THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD IS STILL UPON HIS LIFE. NANA IS THE NEXT PRESIDENT WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.
Wofa Yaw or whoever you are, who cares about what you think about Nana. Your blind eyes and vision will not help you. Ask God to open your eyes.
i dont hate nana but the fact is he is not presidential material.
EII OLUU AHWEASE3 BKUOO I WAS THERE I SAW IT WITH MY NAKED EYES HE FELL DOWN UR PUSHING THIS OLDMAN TO DEATH HE IS SICK LOSSERS
THIS IS A PURE LIE. THE CROWD WAS NEVER MASSIVE. NPP CONTINUES TO DECEIVE ITS MEMBERS THAT THEY ARE PULLING CROWDS. WHEN HE WENT TO SEGE, THE JOY FM REPORTED SAID IT THAT THE CROWD WAS VERY SMALL BCOS THE PEOPLE WERE NOT INTERESTED. TEMA TOO HE COULD AMASS ANY CROWD.
Fall or no fall change is coming! Nana is campaigning every where in Ghana.
Even egya Koo would galvanize massive crowd in ashiama if he happens to storm the place, simply because people want to see him physically. I don't understand why npp are so interested in crowd who attend rallies rather than going into the villages to campaign for election. Nana addo has campaign in greater Accra alone for about two months while amissah and Chie of staff are in villages in the north campaigning. The president is also in other regions. Asiedu nketsiah and Kofi Adams are also somewhere else. Even John dumelo is in the villages campaigning for NDC. This is how you mean business if you want to win election and not being interested in crowd which troop to see who really nana addo is. If crowd at rallies is what make president then there would be no need for nana addo to contest Mahama because he is courting unimaginable crowd everywhere he goes. Bring you manifesto and explain to Ghanaians why they need to vote for you and stop infantile politicking.
Why should Eddie Kay spew lies about Nana Addo like this? Eddie Kay GROW UP
Daily guide, why can't you report the truth for once,Nana fell in Ashaiman and everybody saw it
