The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has disclosed that the party hierarchy is in excruciating pains following the huge losses suffered in last week’s presidential and parliamentary polls.
“It is very painful the NDC have lost; very very painful,” he said on Wednesday during an interview on Starr FM
“Looking at the good work President John Mahama has done for the nation, it’s rather unfortunate we lost.”
According to him, many of them, did certain things that gave meaning to the message of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the party’s campaign trail, otherwise there was no way the NPP would have won the elections.
“Some people did not go out there to vote because they were very confident President John Mahama was going to win,” Mr. Adams who was the campaign coordinator of the John Mahama reelection bid said.
Following the NDC’s disappointing outing in the December 7, 2016 polls, party executives have been accused of incompetence and branded novices by frustrated party members.
These concerns, according to Mr. Adams, are expected and that they are out of the “pain of a lost.”
It was for that reason, he issued himself, as a scapegoat to serve as a therapy, he added.
President Mahama and the governing NDC were defeated in last week’s presidential and parliamentary polls by the NPP led by Nana Akufo-Addo.
The NPP trashed the ruling party by about one million votes and also won majority of the parliamentary seats.
The veteran politician had 5,716,026 votes representing 53.85% of the total vote cast to give him an edge over the ruling National Democratic Congress leader Mahama, who garnered 4,713,277 votes representing 44.40% of the total votes.

We in NDC should blame ourselves. When NPP was planning well, we were depending on juju, changing of figures from the electoral commission in our favour and arrogance from people like Kwadwo Twum Boafo. He should come from his hiding place.I am not sure we will come to power again.
YOU ARE NOT IN PAIN YET. PROPER PAIN IS GOING TO RAIN ON YOU AND YOUR PARTY SOON
