Audio Attachment:Listen to Allotey Jacobs on 'kokrokoo' |
Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs says he is pleased with the approval of the Gender Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba.
Commenting on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Allotey Jacobs commended the efforts of Hon. Otiko Djaba to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, Otiko Djaba was one of the talwarts of the NPP who played a vital role in the victory of the party as Women's Organizer; so she deserves her appointment
Allotey Jacobs however expressed worry over the character of Hon. Otiko Djaba, saying she has a problem and so urged her to work on her attitude.
To him, if she transports her character to the Ministry, it may not augur well for the current administration.
“Otiko Djaba might have a problem. That is about her character . . . But as National Women Organizer, she has suffered. Parties should recognize what their leaders have done for them. So, for me, I believe she’s suffered. I mean she’s qualified. The only problem I have with her is her gladiator cut (regarding her hair style prior to last year’s elections," Allotey Jacobs said.

I have come to realise over the years that, most Ghanaians are cowards, self-righteous, timid, hypocrites, and too much politicised. Some people have said worse things against former presidents Rawlings and Kufour, but nobody raised an eyebrow. The most vilified politician in contemporary Ghana is the current president. Only few people came to his aid. These same people are now shouting on roof-tops because their darling former president has been 'insulted' by a 'certain' woman. I think all these have got to do with poverty and patronising people who hold power to get something from them, good or bad. How come a country with so many intellectuals be wallowing in abject poverty whilst few people are allowed to milk this country dry. We all should be ashamed of ourselves for our negative attitudes.
OTIKO AFISA BALOTELI DJABA
Doesn't take long or magic to spot a dumb person
What has her hair-style got to do with anything? So will he complain she has the sakora hair style?
COOL.
ARE WE SERIOUS IN THIS COUNTRY AT ALL. PARLIAMENT HOUSE IS NOT A CAMPAIGN PLATFORM ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE BEING VETTED AS MINISTER OF STATE, NOT INTO ANY OTHER MINISTRY BUT GENDER, LOOK AT HER BEHAVIOR AND POSTURE, WHAT GOOD LEGACY, ROLE MODEL OR LIFESTYLE IS SHE GOING TO SET. I AM SO DISGUSTED ABOUT HER ARROGANCE, WHY CANT SHE LEARN FROM URSULA OWUSU EKUFU, I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN HER.
As for this haircut de3, it is not befitting for a person of her stature. Those supporting her how will you feel if you daughter came home with a man with such a hairstyle, let's assume his is not weave on but similar.
Believe me! I prefer an arrogant, but incorruptible to low self esteem in humility facade, but a pathological ***barred word***.
Yes I think this would prompt people especially those in the political scheme to choose their words carefully when on political platform. I strongly think by now Otiko herself wouldn't be happy to see day one of her office characteris with backlashes, arrogance and things like this are surrounding her office that is number one. Number two, I think Otiko herself has regretted for using those words but just don't know how to withdraw them. Number three she also know that those supporting her for using those words are doing so because of party affiliation and are not doing any good to her in reality. And lastly I think she would be feeling bad for herself why she is the only nominee to be approve only by majority decision. But in life we learn from our mistakes and I think she choose her words carefully next time she get the chance to
what osafo marfo said is coming to pass. just look at how otiko the northerner behaved as compared to hawa from the south. it tells ghanaians that a northerner is still a northerner, you cant take anything from her, let alone the stuuuuuuupid pride with free education. am suprised people from the north are given appointment.
