One of the witnesses in the bribery allegation against the appointments Committee of Parliament Alhassan Suhuyini is lamenting over a seeming snub by the Joe Ghartey-led committee.
According to the Tamale North MP, he has still not received an invitation to appear before the probing committee even though sittings begin today.
“So how come the Hon Joe Ghartey Committee is sitting today and I still do not have my invitation? Ah well, maybe my truth will not matter,” he wrote on Facebook Wednesday.
The special parliamentary Ad hoc committee set up to probe the bribery claim begins sitting today.
The committee could not sit on Monday as scheduled because the key witness, Mahama Ayariga, was out of the jurisdiction on an official assignment.
The Bawku Central MP and some members of the minority caucus on the appointments committee have alleged that attempts were made to bribe them to pass Energy minister Boakye Agyarko after his vetting.
The minority MPs maintain an amount of GHC3000 was given each of them through the minority chief whip Muntaka Mohammed who is supposed to have received the money from the committee chairman.
Both the minority chief whip and chairman of the committee Joe Osei Owusu have denied the claim.

Suhiyini what is the lamentation about you brought it to yourself You are full of self importance thinking you know too much if care is not taken that will be your waterloo as a one time parliamentarian please learn to learn the ropes
IT IS ONE THING BRAGGING ON RADIO AND ONE THING CONTRIBUTING IN PARLIAMENT.
Mr Suhuyini, did you not hear the Chairman of the committee publicly announce that anyone who has any information or evidence to aid the work of the committee should write to them by Friday 17th February? If you have not been invited and you feel strongly about helping the committee unravel the truth, why don't you write to the committee formally stating your 'truth', as suggested by the Chairman. You may be called upon to appear before the committee if you write formally to them. Facebooking and complaining about this matter on social media is amateurish, and as an M.P you should know better. Grow up!
Hmmmm Suhuyini they call him. You rush too much. Learn from Haruna Iddrisu and Muntarka Mubarak. I have followed you on the vetting committee and the kind of questions posed by you are meant to deamonise your opponent. U always look for fault findings.... why are you like that. This is your first time in parliament but you seem to be rushing. Mr know it all.
He is just garigujarigu, wokayem, people used their precious time to stand in a queue to vote for you only to open your mouth wide like you know too much, grow up boy.
I think so far Hon. Suhuni is the best MP. Keep it up we are behind you.
SUYINI WE ARE PROUD OF U, KEEP IT UP.WE LIKE BOLD MPS LIKE YOU AND INCORRUPTIBLE,ALL THOSE CRITICISING YOU ARE ***barred word*** CORRUPT ***barred word*** NPP GUYS AND TO HELL WITH THEM.KEEP DOING THE GOOD WORK.WE YOUR CONSTITUENTS ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU.
Are there no noble men in his constituency? Next time elect a good person to represent you in parliament.
@ SUHUYINI KEEP IT UP. You mean this is the type of MP you want? Do you mean the people of Tamale North voted for an MP who supports an allegation and wants to stand trial for it without seeking proof? Please Tamale North constituents deserve better. IN particular the names Mahama and Ayarige are being watched closely in Ghana politics and for the Bawku Central MP to bear both names, coupled with his infamous tractor deals in the past should have warned this MP. However, since birds of the same furthers flock together, no wonder to his behaviour
I don't know what is wrong with this boy. He is always displaying his immaturity. He still believes that he is sitting in Radio Gold studios.
