General Secretary of the biggest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has revealed that it has never crossed his mind to run for president of Ghana.
“I have not thought about it, so I am surprised about the question. I have not thought about it at all,” he pointed out on Wednesday March 15, 2017.
The party has instituted a probe to determine what led to its defeat in the elections. There is uncertainty within the party if former President Mahama will represent the NDC in the next presidential elections in 2020.
But Mr Nketia said such issues would be determined at the appropriate time and was emphatic that joining the race to lead the party as flag bearer was not part of his immediate plans as he was focused on his current role as General Secretary and would decide on his next move at the end of his tenure.
“I am trying to carry out my current mandate as successfully as I can. When I end that one, I will now begin to think about where to go next, so it has not crossed my mind at all…whether to contest in anything or go and tap my palms or concentrate on my block work,” he said on Starr FM.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHAHHAAAAAA...This guy shouldn't even dare cuz he wouldn't get half vote self. please advise him to go back to his palm-wine tapping job and stop disturbing us. apuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
The day that a mosquito will become the president of a sovereign state called Ghana, the people should be prepared to invest all their resources in the acquisition of anti malaria drugs that will also cure them of comical politics introduced into our body politic by A. Nketia. Tweaaaaaaaaaah.
Better Not. That would have been an insult of the highest order to Ghanaians. Even the thought of it alone is insulting enough. So please don't even start thinking about the possibility. Thank you for your understanding. Asieduwaah, We don't want our president wearing "Kaba" to international gatherings. Please please !!!. Just stay in NDC. There you fit perfectly well.
Don't even consider because we need serious people at the presidency not comedians like you. Enough of John Mahama's type of governance. We are not joking in this country.
Even if it crosses your mind, it's a crime against humanity.
Exactly my taught.
God humbles the proud. Asiedu Nketiah has been humbled by the humiliating defeat of his party. He was becoming too proud of himself and arrogant. Now you see your smoothness level. you want to run for president. Aboaaaaaaaaaaa! your wife will not even vote for u. Koshia!
