Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, wants the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stay in opposition for at least 16 more years.
Kweku Baako stated emphatically that the NDC will never make it to government in the next four years as hoped by some NDC faithfuls and so advised them to stop dreaming about a quick comeback to power.
To him, "NDC in opposition is the best medicine" for Ghanaians.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Mr. Baako vowed he will never hope for victory for the party for reasons that the party's loss was a good riddance to Ghanaians.
“I will never ever pray for an NDC victory in any election. Never, never hope for it; never wish for it. That’s a matter I can’t renegotiate. It’s static. It doesn’t matter who’s their flagbearer. Even if it’s my mother or father, I won’t vote for them,” he stressed.
He expressed profound enthusiasm over the defeat of the NDC in the 2016 elections, stating that the party characters were arrogant and incompetent and so needed to be kicked out of government.
“We all know that they haven’t recovered from the pains, which is normal. It’s like heaven on earth. I was so happy. Kwami, this country needed it. It sent us back to the year of 2000. The best way – the medicine – that we needed for the impunity, arrogance, ineptitude and incompetence, we needed it. We really needed it. That was medicine.”
Mr. Baako also took objection to a question raised on the programme by a panel member, Allotey Jacobs - NDC Central Regional Chairman - on whether or not he would change his stance on the party should their founder Ex-President Rawlings throw his weight behind them.
Kweku Baako noted that “Rawlings is not the main problem for me" when it comes to his decision whether to vote for the NDC or not.
To him, "the NDC as a corporate entity is the problem" and that's why he can't imagine himself supporting the party to clinch victory in an election.

Probably after 16 years the thifs and corrupt ones in the NDC party will be no more... This will give them some chance.....
what b the demonic in this my brother. The man is making an opinion allow
LIES, HYPNOTISM, BRAINWASH are what brought NPP to power and they are now reaping the fruit. When honey is flowing into your mouth, will you stop it? Definite and Emphatic NO. Kweku Baako wants to be where he is in the next 16 years. so he is proclaiming doom for the NDC. Reality will soon dawn on him and the scale will soon fall off his eyes.
Kweku Baako the reason why this is no news is simple 1. you are not God 2. YOU ARE NOT GOD 3. yOU ARE NOT GOD. YOU JUST A MERE MORTAL TO KNOW EVEN TOMORROW. Kweku can you tell me what will happen tomorrow and not sixteen years. the pride is eating you up.
Why is Kweku Baako interested in NDC affairs kraaa. He doesn't like them at all. A CPP man paaaaa
Eddie, you see you are the only one insulting Kweku. The truth hurts. What did you gain from the NDC government as an individual. Did your heart not bleed for Ghana with the stealing, corruption & the lies they told you? Even when the whole world saw NPP's victory, NDC executives were telling you you were in a comfortable lead. When are you going to wake up from your deep slumber. They use you to get into power to enrich themselves & you ***barred word***.ishly continue to follow them. Look at the colosal amounts the country lost in the 8 yeats under NDC. Wise up Eddie, wise up.
Tafiakwa.... We must not allow this corrupt and incompetent NDC to rule this country again. They have waisted 8 years of our country's life. They enriched themselves and impoverished the rest of us. Went away with cars and huge ex gratia. Never again....
Kwaku Baaku, I think you are on point in your assertion. The defeat of the NDC is enough 'medicine' for right-thinking people in this country. Now, I can listen to radio and read the newspapers without the insults, insinuations, arrogance of power, etc., etc. The NDC annoyed a lot of us everyday with their negative tendencies. Things are being sanitized now and we feel relieved. AND THAT IS 'MEDICINE' INDEED!
Eddie are you in pains cos ndc lost election 2016. A ghanian is speaking his mind and you are not bound to accept his proposals or think in line with him. But the insults does not help us. Infact we the ndc should stop the insults which annoyed a lot of ghanaians and led to our defeat. I think we should rather look at the main issues within the ndc that cause our down fall.
And who is Kweku Baako, an individual expressing his personal thoughts which i am not bound to. That is his mind, he is not God.
