National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has said the leadership of the largest opposition party must be held responsible for the breakdown of discipline within the group.
The NDC has dominated the headlines for the wrong reason this week after Mr Rawlings on Saturday claimed at the 80th Ada Asafotufiami Festival that the Mahama government was one of the regimes under which widespread corruption and mismanagement soared.
As if that was not enough, leading member of the party and former Attorney General, Martin Amidu on Monday released an epistle to the media alleging that the erstwhile John Mahama administration appointed the embattled Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Charlotte Osei, to rig the 2016 elections for the NDC.
Party members irked by his claims descended heavily on him with two NDC former Parliamentary candidates Evans Amankwaa and Abigail Mensah, petitioning the party leadership to take disciplinary measures against Mr Amidu citing his persistent epistles and public utterances that has brought the NDC into disrepute.
Former deputy Chief of Staff under President Mahama, Valerie Sawyerr also joined the fray launching a blistering attack on Mr Rawlings in an epistle asking him to put his energy to good use by going to Denkyira-Boasi [now New Obuasi] to help the fight against illegal mining, if he has nothing doing to keep him busy.
Speaking on Kasapa FM Thursday, Kofi Adams is taking steps to sanitize the party of undisciplined members.
“Over the years we have not activated our disciplinary process that has led to some party members mishaving. We’ve not cracked the whip for too long a time on many issues of indiscipline. We’ve started to put things within the party with the petition that has been forwarded to leadership, we’re dealing with matters of indiscipline so that the party will cease being brought into disrepute my aggrieved members. I believe we the leadership should take the blame for the indiscipline in the party. If our disciplinary process was working effectively and we took disciplinary matters seriously, things wouldn’t have gone as bad as it they have.”

Kofi Adam, don't lament because the truth is that as a Party, we in NDC don't have a founder let alone to talk of leadership. if we shall be truthful to ourselves, we can see clearly that we all come in with our own selfish motives to enrich ourselves. What is happening now is from God, we have sinned against God and mankind, attacking the anointed men of God and subjecting poor and innocent citizens of Ghana into political slavery? Oh my God, until we all sincerely repent and genuinely ask for forgiveness from God, the Party NDC will continue to be under curse. Have forgotten what happened to the Israelite Kings like Ahab, Omri etc who never feared God? What happened to them and Israel? Until NDC confesses its sins to the people of Ghana, they will continue to split apart and suffer more humiliating electoral defeats. The truth is one and so we better admit it now and put our house in order. Why is it that some respected members of NDC such as ET Mensah and the Ahwois are not talking? Where are the babies with sharp teeth now? Kofi Adams you have now admitted publicly that over the years we have not activated our disciplinary process that has led to some party members misbehaving. A coward leader, be bold to point out those party leaders misbehaving. You see how the scramble for money has led you are into this unprecedented disgrace for the Party? have we forgotten when we were shouting "Ye be dii keke, Yebe dii keke". We all forgot that the day of recoking was there isn't it? Have we forgotten what went on at the Flagstaff House soon after we lost power, buying Toyota Avensis 2014 models auctioned for GHc2,000? Kofi Adams and all NDC members have learnt some lessons fro the 2016 election results? We have just launched the Ghana Institute of Social Democracy to train our Ministers and foot soldiers who demonstrated complete ignorance of what NDC stood for. In the first place, even the name of the academy is wrong by saying Ghana Institute, to give the Institute a national colour or what? This is a school to train our party members and so we should remove the name Ghana as soon as possible. If this is not done, I will file an injunction on the use of the name for the Academy, we cant continue to commit unpardonable mistakes that will bring the name of the name of the Party NDC into disrepute.
I agree with Kofi Adams, when he, Asiedu Nketia, Koku Anyidoho, Solomon Nkansah, Kwakye Ofosu and the other babies with sharp teeth were insulting Nana Addo, Pastors, Chiefs and other respectable senior citizens 24/7, did he know what indiscipline was?
